Happy New Year!
It seems rather odd that I beat most of you to the new year... We had a lovely little party with pizza, Love Actually and champagne, and then we climbed up on the roof to watch the Taipei 101 building light up and to see fireworks going off all over the place for the next hour. The funniest was when the kids standing over on the next rooftop lit a big one that exploded right over our heads without warning. And there was much swearing and thumping of hearts. Also, this was the warmest New Year's Eve I've ever had!
